This hand thrown ceramic pottery is of the naked clay style. It is unglazed, but stained. It has a leather like appearance when the iron rust stain on buff stoneware is chosen. This stoneware has been fired to achieve a tight clay body which is non absorbent. Wine sediment can be washed away.
